interpret Soundwave's Machine Wars body as a younger version of the character, accompanied by a contemporary version of Laserbeak
the MW line lacks any fiction except for vague toy bios, so the characters are open to interpretation. Like Optimus, I consider this tank-form Soundwave to be an earlier incarnation. I like to think he was once a heavy-duty war machine before he dedicated his life to keeping the streets of Iacon well-lit.
